EMEA Payroll | Global Organisation | Hybrid

Here in Barden we are delighted to be working with one of our globally recognised multinational clients who have a new opportunity for an International Payroll Specialist to join their large team.

The business is fast-moving, constantly evolving, and deeply invested in its people. You’ll be encouraged to grow, and challenge yourself. The organisation places huge value on development, collaboration and continuous improvement – this is not a “static” payroll role. It’s a role with scope, visibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a complex, international environment.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of payroll processing across multiple EMEA countries. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure payroll is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • End-to-end payroll processing for multiple EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and local compliance
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders, payroll vendors and benefits providers to resolve issues and implement best-practice solutions
  • Own payroll reporting and reconciliations, ensuring month-on-month variances are understood, explained and controlled
  • Stay ahead of regulatory and payroll environment changes across EMEA, clearly communicating impacts and implementing updates
  • Maintain robust controls, documentation and up-to-date desktop procedures
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee payroll queries, resolving issues within agreed SLAs using internal systems
  • Support payroll treatment for expatriates and international assignees in collaboration with external providers
  • Partner with Payroll Accounting on month-end and quarter-end reconciliations and support internal/external audits
  • Drive efficiencies, process improvements and automation where possible
  • Contribute to payroll-related projects and cross-functional initiatives as required

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Proven international payroll experience within a multinational organisation
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations and compliance
  • Experience working with SAP and advanced Excel skills
  • A structured, process-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Confidence working with ambiguity, change and evolving business needs
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills
  • IPASS qualification (or equivalent) preferred
